EVELIXIA

2023-2027

EVELIXIA aims to transform EU buildings into energy-efficient, connected, smart, and flexible entities — known as Buildings as Active Utility Nodes (BAUNs). Key focus: connecting buildings, saving energy, enhancing comfort.

Our Vision

The project poised to drive meaningful progress towards the shared goal of a greener, more resilient planet. A project that focuses on the communication between buildings and the grid to optimise energy usage, and enhance living conditions for the tenants in the built environment

Our Role

EGC manages the Danish pilot site in close collaboration with Kolstrup Boligforening (site owner), Aabenraa Fjernvarme (DHO), SUSTAIN (ESCO), and NEOGRID. EGC ensures alignment across technical, operational, and social dimensions by coordinating the deployment of innovative technologies, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and tailoring solutions to local needs. A core task is facilitating knowledge transfer to build capacity and accelerate the adoption of smart energy systems.

Outcomes

Seven real-life pilots will demonstrate and validate the project’s innovative solutions.

Expected outcomes include 14 scalable services, reduced GHG emissions by 17%, increased flexibility up to 25%, self-consumption up to 100%, reduced energy consumption by 13.5%, and increased RE generation by 11%.
