EVELIXIA

2023-2027

EVELIXIA is a collaborative project involving 36 organisations from 12 EU countries. The project aims to transform EU buildings into energy-efficient, connected, smart, and flexible entities known as Buildings as Active Utility Nodes (BAUNs). Key focuses include two-way communication between buildings and the grid, optimised energy usage, and enhanced comfort levels

Our Vision

The project poised to drive meaningful progress towards the shared goal of a greener, more resilient planet. A project that focuses on the communication between buildings and the grid to optimise energy usage, and enhance living conditions for the tenants in the built environment

Our Role

EGC leads the Danish pilot site activities of the project in close collaboration with KB (PS owner), AF (DHO), SUSTAIN (ESCO) and Neogrid (technology provider and PS integrator) to ensure the long-term resilience and proper behavior of the system while developing impactful measures tailored to multiple stakeholders. This involves facilitating smooth and effective knowledge transfer around innovative storage systems to encourage acceptance and adoption of technical solutions. Social engagement is a crucial aspect, emphasising the empowerment of tenants in energy management decisions.

Outcomes

Expected outcomes include 14 scalable services, reduced GHG emissions by 17%, increased flexibility up to 25%, self-consumption up to 100%, reduced energy consumption by 13.5%, and increased RE generation by 11%.
