Urban ElemenTREE aims to enhance urban greening by standardising tree-related environmental practices. Utilising Urban Living Labs in five diverse cities, it will develop a digital platform to optimise urban planning with comprehensive tree metrics.
Our Vision
The project takes the latest promising, yet fragmented research on urban trees, including the considerations of air pollution, wind risk, lighting conditions, heat stress, or contamination, and translate it into actionable guidance for stakeholders, planners, and decision-makers.
Our Role
Development and implementation of strategic communication and dissemination, campaigns, community building, and stakeholder management.
Outcomes
To make the study of tree–environment interactions more accessible and efficient, serving as a foundation for more tailored tree planting. Transdisciplinary research is integrated with innovation and practical solutions for policy-making, planning, and design processes, harnessing the power of digitisation.
