Can AI strengthen trust and collaboration in urban development, rather than creating more distance between people?
EGC was invited to contribute as a case for the annual Design Sprint at the Master’s programme in Strategic Design and Entrepreneurship at the Royal Danish Academi in Copenhagen, under the theme AI & Creative Industries. At EGC, we work with a human-centered approach to urban development. AI holds immense potential, but if used poorly, it can create more distance between local communities and decision-makers.
We want to explore the opposite to make AI an asset for community insight, dialogue, and local ownership. In just three hours, the students developed ideas and reflections shaped by the unique value of being at an early career stage: openness and the courage to explore new ways of working.
The Strategic Design and Entrepreneurship programme is structured around project-based modules where you get to work with actual organisations and real-world challenges, in collaboration with students of social science from Copenhagen Business School — what a combination.
